Welcome to Turnip, operated by Goldfish Context Co, LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Turnip mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old;
• You are the parent or legal guardian of any child who will use the Service;
• You have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any minor in your household; and
• You will supervise all use of the Service by any child under your care.

2. Description of Service

Turnip is a family learning and goal-tracking application designed for children ages 6–15, intended for use under parental supervision. Features include goal-setting tools inspired by the Mandal-Art methodology, chore tracking, allowance management, AI-assisted tutoring, and reward systems. The features, content, and availability of the Service may change at any time.

3. Free Use and Paid Subscription

Introductory Free Period. The Company may, at its sole discretion, offer Turnip free of charge during introductory or promotional periods. We reserve the right to modify, limit, suspend, or terminate any free tier at any time, with or without notice.

Paid Subscription. Continued access to the Service will require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize the Company to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current rate. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Price Changes. The Company may modify subscription prices upon reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will retain access until that time.

4. Children's Use of the Service

The Service is intended to be used by children under parental supervision. Parents are solely responsible for supervising and monitoring their child's use of the Service, approving rewards and allowances, reviewing AI-generated interactions, and managing all account and privacy settings. The Company complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users' accounts;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
• Upload, post, or transmit content that is illegal, offensive, or infringing; or
• Use the Service in any manner that could disable, damage, or impair it.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide tutoring, suggestions, and educational content. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. It is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, educational, psychological, or legal advice. Parents are encouraged to review their child's AI interactions and use their own judgment when acting on AI-generated suggestions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service (excluding user-submitted content) — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, software, and the Turnip mascot — are owned by Goldfish Context Co, LLC and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, but you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, and process such content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding educational outcomes, behavioral changes, academic progress, or any other results from using the Service. The Service is an educational and motivational tool, not a guarantee of results.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GOLDFISH CONTEXT CO, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including without limitation loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, business opportunities, personal injury, property damage, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service;
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
• Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated content; or
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (ii) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Goldfish Context Co, LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any content you submit to the Service.

11. Modifications to the Service

The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

12. Termination

The Company may terminate or suspend your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the in-app account deletion feature. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Goldfish Context Co, LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
